What We Accept
How-to guides based on direct production or marketing experience. Platform analysis with named sources and clear reasoning. Opinion pieces with a clear argument supported by evidence. Sector-specific guidance from practitioners with direct industry knowledge relevant to Northern Irish businesses.
We do not accept content produced to promote a production company or platform, guest posts submitted on behalf of commercial clients, or articles without genuine subject matter expertise.
Standards
Content must be original and not published elsewhere. Claims that are not common knowledge require named, verifiable sources. No fabricated data or invented case studies. UK English throughout. No promotional language. No em dashes.
Word counts: 800 to 1,500 words for analysis and features. 1,200 to 2,000 words for practical guides. 400 to 800 words for news analysis.
The Submission Process
Send a brief pitch via the contact form before writing. Include the proposed topic in two or three sentences, the main argument or practical takeaway, your relevant background, and any sources you intend to cite.
We respond to pitches within five working days. Accepted articles are edited for style, clarity, and editorial standards. Contributors are notified of significant changes before publication.
Author Bios
30 to 60 words. Name, role or professional background, one sentence of relevant context. A link to a personal website or LinkedIn profile is acceptable.
Rights
By submitting, you confirm the content is your original work, you hold the rights to it, and publication does not infringe any third-party rights. Video Agency Belfast retains the right to publish and archive accepted articles indefinitely.
Corrections Policy
Video Agency Belfast is committed to accuracy. Where published content contains a factual error, we correct it promptly and note the correction at the foot of the relevant article.
How to Request a Correction
Use the contact form. Include the URL of the article, the specific claim you consider inaccurate, and any source or evidence supporting a correction.
We review all requests within five working days. Where a correction is warranted, it is made and a correction note added in the format: Correction: [date]. [Description of what was corrected and what the correct information is.]
What We Do Not Correct
We do not alter editorial judgements, change opinions expressed by named contributors, or remove articles because their subject matter is uncomfortable. Correction requests must relate to factual inaccuracies.
Disputed Corrections
If you believe a request has been wrongly declined, resubmit with additional evidence. We will respond within five working days.
